How the GTA 6 release date changed
The date has moved twice, which is why many fans still ask whether it is final.
- Original target: fall 2025
- First delay: Rockstar moved the game to May 26, 2026.
- Second delay: Take-Two announced November 19, 2026 as the new date.
Since then, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has repeatedly said the company is releasing the game on November 19. That included the May 2026 earnings call, where he reiterated the date after an anonymous online rumor claimed a further delay into 2027. The rumor did not come true.
Will GTA 6 be delayed again?
No further delay has been announced. Publishers rarely commit marketing budgets to a date they do not consider secure, and Take-Two has tied its financial outlook to this launch. Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch, and there is no official PC date.
